“The oak brings out the fruit and mineral notes”
Bodegas Miguel Merino. Briones, Rioja Alta.
Miguel Merino Viñas Jovenes.
The grapes are selected and harvested by hand from the winery's own vineyards. The fermentation takes place inside stainless steel vats with frequent pumping over. The wine is oak aged in oak barrels which are 2 to 3 years old, of which the staves are made out of American oak and the lids French oak.
Colour: Bright, intense cherry red.
Aroma: Red fruits, eucalyptus, good minerality, milkiness and a presence of vanilla which come from the oak barrel.
Taste: Great volume with a good presence of red fruits. Silky with a good balance between the fruit and the oak. Very elegant.
